Kathryn Wyon, Head of Strategic Bidding & Deal Management
Joining Lloyds Banking Group in 2011 as Head of Sales Advisory, Kathryn was responsible for Global Transaction Banking (GTB) bids and tenders across Corporate Banking and a complex implementation team; a team of 11 people. Successfully promoted to Head of Strategic Bidding and Deal Management, Kathryn is now on the GTB Executive committee and responsible for a number of strategic programmes in GTB to unlock and improve GTB business by better meeting client needs, creating a consistent identity and building the best team.
Kathryn’s main achievements in the last couple of years include YoY volume, value and win rate increases and recruiting and establishing a strategic team who drive business development and support the winning of business.
Kathryn is a professionally qualified (APMP Fellow), senior manager with over 15 years experience in sales and commercial development. Enterprising and energetic with excellent management, communication and organisational skills, she is highly regarded across the bid industry and 1 of only 9 APMP fellows in the UK (approximately 70 worldwide).
Kathryn has had considerable achievements including, in her role as Projects Office & Bid centre Manager for Fujitsu Siemens (2003-2007), increasing bid volume by 60%, increasing success rate by over 30% and raising team profiles & value. Kathryn also managed a multi-disciplinary, pan European team of Technical Architects, Project Managers & Implementation engineers, delivering a 500% ROI. Headhunted in 2007 for the Head of Bid & Commercial for Colt Technology, Kathryn again improved bid volume by 20+% YOY, win rate from 33% to 48% and increased revenues by £8m+ YOY. Kathryn created a robust framework for execution and led and won the largest (£100m+) contract in Colt’s history.
